TrainWare is a remote training system which is also called Learning Management System - LMS. It was built in order to provide utilities such as design, management and delivery of training in an organization. The LMS offers on-line training an interactive and multimedia environment. It also provides focus administration via the web environment and convenient deployment of multimedia courses in conformity with the SCORM 1.2 standard.

General & System Features:
- Integration: Functions of TrainWare are integrated into the system with shared database, consistent UI, and comply with business logic of online training.
- 100% Web-based interface: The interface of all functions is based on Web, so the product is easily accessed from Internet via TCP/IP standard.
- Operability and customization: TrainWare is an open-solution for easily changing existing functions and adding more new functions.
- Support of multi languages (Vietnamese, English, Japanese).
- Operation system: TrainWare runs on various platforms, such as: Windows NT, Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server – business server; Windows NT, Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server - Database server; and other Web supported platforms.
- Database Management System: TrainWare runs on various RDBMS engines, such as: Oracle 8/9i or Ms SQL Server.

Features for Administrators:
- Support the ability of conformity with the SCORM standard.
- For each course, TrainWare allows administrator to enroll a learner or learner group into the course.
- Add and edit course information: add basic information for each course: course titles, course category, course authors, course issued date, course status, course fee, number of attempts, schedule, description.
- Search courses: users can search, list courses by different criteria: course title, category, status.
- TrainWare allows administrators to reject enrolled learners or learner groups out of the list.
- TrainWare allows administrators to add new user groups such as class, orgs or branches.
- Create and define customized user roles.
- An administrator also can act as a user to self-enroll to be member of the system. Therefore, the system must have the ability to manage self-enroll learner lists and provide the function for the administrators to approve or reject the self-enroll.
- Insert new users, delete users: Administrator can add new users then assign for them, they can have many roles at the same time.
- Search users: Beyond each criteria or combined criteria: first name, last name, user group, exactly search or seminar search.
- Import user list: TrainWare provides the ability to import user list which is stored in CVS file from DB of the other software systems.
- Edit user information: the administrator has right to change user information, such as: full name, user group, password, user status, personal information and access right.
- TrainWare provides the ability to import user data from a network domain.
- Export user list: TrainWare provides the ability to export existing user list to CSV file which can be available to import into other systems.
- Create new question bank and answers.
- Import/Export existing question bank.
- Create a new online test of each course: Evaluation questions can be randomly selected from a question bank.
- When learners take part in test or online test, the system provides automatic grading function and update final results to them.
- TrainWare allows administrators to evaluate learners' mark beyond criteria: absence checking, assignment mark, mid-term mark, end-term mark.
- To each course, TrainWare allows administrators to review learning progress of learners, who have attended the course.
- TrainWare provides the ability to display details of test and exams results of learner, including: results of tests or exams and results of evaluations.
- TrainWare provides the ability to review both learning progress and results beyond criteria: the progress of learners or learner groups or an individual who took part in the specific course.
- Report function: Publish reports to printer, Ms Word or Ms Excel Files. Report of learner group: Groups report, learner in group report. Learners report: List of learner report beyond criteria: learner name, learner status or enroll date, detail report of learner training. Course report: Course lists report, enrolled learner report, detail report of the course. Total Result Report: Total Result of All Students attending courses and Total Result of Student in an organization.
- Live chat, FAQ & discussion forums: TrainWare provides live chat function to improve for learning discussion between learners, lectures and admin. Allow learners to ask teachers and admin, then teachers and admin have responsibility to answer immediately. TrainWare also support learning discussion forums between members.
- Setup and tracking of the system log: The system records events of actions. The log shows the working of everyone at every time.
- DBMS maintenances: allow to backup or restore system DBMS, logging all back up or delete the backup versions database.

Features for Teachers:
- Track course information: allow lectures to search courses beyond criteria: course name, course categories, review the online course, review members attending courses.
- Create online quizs: support the ability to add new question banks and corresponding answers.
- Import existing question banks.
- Edit, delete content in question banks.
- Setup parameters for each test such as: test time limit, number of test attempts.
- Evaluate learner mark: TrainWare allows to evaluate the grading mark of learners by criteria: absence checking, assignment mark, mid-term mark, end-term mark.
- Track learning results: TrainWare allows to view learning progress of learners, view exam marks, test marks, view details of test and exam results.

Features for Learners:
- Self-enroll learner account: TrainWare allows users to have the ability to self-enroll a new account.
- Enroll course: TrainWare allows learners to self enroll courses, it belongs to property of course.
- Learn and take test/exam: Allow learners to study online courses and effectively. Allows learners to do test of every course, the system will evaluate and store the test result.
- Re-learn: allow learners to retake the course depending on the maximum number re-learn attempts which was pre-defined by the course author.
- Track learning progress: allows learners to track information such as enrolled learners in a course, course start-date and end-date, schedule. Display the learning process, percentage of complete learning, take test/exam.
- View test/exam results: TrainWare allows users to view test/exam results of course, grade information: total number of questions in a test/exam, number of answered questions, number of unanswered questions, final mark of a course.
