Imitor is a powerful and interactive e-Learning tool designed with the aim at aiding training and self-training of software operation skills. With a completed set of easy-to-use built-in tools, Imitor enables the quick, easy development of interactive browser-based simulations, production of documentation, and creation of tutorials on applications, process training, or any content that can be delivered through a Windows-based PC environment. Imitor makes it easy to record on-screen action and create a movie. The process of creating a movie is extremely fast. Imitor can automatically record on-screen action and insert caption text for every click you make while recording. Imitor makes building interactive, animated movies simple, whether you need to demonstrate your software, train your employees, or create any other full-motion, on-screen support materials. Additionally, Imitor makes instructions convenient to publish generated lessons onto Intranet/Internet/Extranet.
-
Feature of capturing applications:
- Capture every application: capture every application on computer (both Desktop and Web application.)
- List all running applications to capture: enable users to choose application they want to capture.
- Permit to choose method to record effectively: capture activating windows or full screen.
- Allow users to choose recording mode as Window Application Only or Full Screen.
- Capture process is conducted automatically: Imitor captures and records all actions and screens when users operate with the target application to be simulated.
- Enable users to ignore or accept the capture results: When finish capturing, Imitor permits user to accept or ignore the result they have just created.
-
Feature of editing data:
- Unnecessary actions may be taken during recording. Therefore, Imitor allows users to delete those actions to compact the data.
- Users can choose either cut some part or all unnecessary actions.
- At a moment in recording process, users can carry out only some actions of the target applications. However, in fact, when using the same function, user can carry out by many different ways. Therefore, Imitor has ability to define additional actions of users on the Simulation system.
- The defined additional actions include: mouse actions (single, double, and key+click actions), data entry fields, keystroke actions.
- For effectively simulating, Imitor has functions that allow users to define branch at each action appropriate to a context.
- Allow users to change the action’s properties such as: kind of action, action location and action scope.
- Allow user to insert new branches from existing simulations or may be recorded into a simulation. This ability will increase the effect of simulation.
- Enable users to delete unnecessary simulation branches.
- Insert descriptions in various forms: Comment box, Title box, and Hint box. The boxes include a lot of shapes such as: ellipse, rectangle.
- Delete descriptions in various forms: Notebox, title box, hinht box.
- Change property of description: Imitor supports the properties of note boxes to help users make changes as expected, including background color, font color, size, border color, border size, form of note box, note box position.
- Insert, delete audio files: Allow users to insert/record or delete audio files in order to make simulation more lively and understandably. Inserting an auto file is carried out by inserting an exist file or recording directly from Micro.
- Edit captured images: Imitor allows users to adjust captured images from the target application. The minimum operations of adjusting need to be supplied such as: draw image additionally, delete image, insert a new image, record image, change color, etc.
-
Feature of generating data:
- Publish HTML Document: Change parameters when generating HTML document such as stored directory, layout, image quality, zoom in and zoom out.
- Publish MS Word document: Change parameters when generating MS Word document such as the template file, stored directory, layout, image quality, zoom in and zoom out.
- Publish MS PowerPoint Document: Change parameters when generating Ms PowerPoint document such as the template file, stored directory, template, and image quality.
- Publish Acrobat PDF Document: Change parameters when generating document Acrobat PDF such as stored directory and layout.
- Publish AVI File: Change parameters when generating AVI Movie file such as compressor form, quality, key frame every.
- Publish FLASH file: Change parameters when generating Simulator FLASH such as quality, frame rate, etc.
Interactive Simulation: Allow users to generate Interactive Simulation. Allow users to change parameters when generating Interactive Simulation such as quality of image, interactive modes, audio forms, rate of zoom in/out, and etc. Create tests: Allow users to assess the result by creating the practice test and the test.
- Pack in SCORM standard: All the generated contents of all formats should be packed in SCORMs to launch in different LMS systems. This is the most popular e-learning standard in the world today.
-
Feature of simulating:
- Simulation by AVI format: The contents are simulated by AVI Movie format.
- Simulation by FLASH format: The contents are simulated by FLASH format.
- Interactive simulation - auto demonstration: The process of simulation is operated automatically.
- Interactive simulation - operation lecture: There are interactions between users and systems. Learners can use guidelines of the system during their learning process.
- Interactive simulation - operation exercise: There are user interactions, but no system guideline during simulating. Therefore users have to remember all operations in simulation system. If users could not remember an operation, the simulation system will allow users to return into guidelines-system to practice again.
- Interactive simulation - operation exam: The process of simulation requires user interactions without system guidelines; therefore they have to remember all operations exactly. If users could not remember an operation, simulation system will allow them to go to next step. The system will record the results of users at any step.
-
Feature of publishing:
- Publish on the Intranet: Imitor permits publishing contents on the Intranet.
- Publish on the Internet: Imitor permits publishing contents on the Internet.
-
Utilities:
- Allow users to set up, modify general and default parameters of the system such as: width, border, type of font, font size, background…
- In environment of editing, Imitor provides normal functions such as: Copy, Cut, Paste, Delete, Undo, Redo…
- Allow users to save and manage recorded data by the versions.
